His Kentucky death certificate lists his year of birth to be 1844, while the 1900 US Census identifies the year of birth to be 1843. The stone indicates the year of birth to be 1845. The location of this grave is aided by the Norman Inventory. It does have a "GH" on it, which is similar to the "CH" on Causby Hatfield's stone next to him.
