Warns Earl Hatfield* was born May 30, 1901. Earl was know as a joker and carried candy in his pockets for children. Earl was described by his sister, Jeanette Hatfield Smith, as a "good hearted" guy who would do anything for you.
Earl worked in the coal mines and the family "traded on him for groceries." He was kicked in the head by a mule and never recovered from the complications of that accident.

Earl died on June 30, 1926, and is buried in the Anderson Hatfield Memorial Cemetery.
